2. Angel Of The North
The Angel of the North is a beautiful and contemporary sculpture, designed by artist Antony Gormley in 1998. You will find it in the heart of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear, England. You won’t miss this sculpture, as it stands 20 metres tall!
The sculpture has become one of the most talked about public art and is popular with locals and tourists from around the world for over 15 years!
It is visited by 150,000 people a year and is one of the most famous sculptures in the UK.

3. The Tyne Bridge in Newcastle
The Tyne Bridge in Newcastle links the City of Newcastle to the town of Gateshead. It was designed by the engineering firm Mott, Hay and Anderson and opened in 1928. During its construction, the famous Tyne Bridge was the world’s longest single bridge and was officially opened on 10th October 1928 by King George V.
It became a very popular tourist destination and quickly won a place in the hearts of the people in Newcastle. It is an iconic symbol of Tyneside’s industrial past and its recent regeneration. The bridge has been featured in films and has been the main focal point for photographs.
Many ships from all over the world have tied up in sign of its massive steel arch and millions of visitors have passed over it by many types of transport.

4. Grey's Monument
Discover Georgian architecture with your family, a must visit when visiting Newcastle. Grey’s Monument is a Grade 1 listed monument to Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey built in 1838 in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
Experience the city like never before as you climb 164 steps to the top of the famous Grey’s Monument, where you can experience beautiful panoramic views across Newcastle. Grey’s Monument was named after Charles Grey, who hailed from the North East and was British Prime Minister in the 1830’s.

5. Baltic Mill
Baltic Mill is a converted mill and now a centre for contemporary art and also hosts shows for contemporary artists. It attracts visitors from all over the world.
